The North West Astronomy Festival is held at the Conference Centre The Heath Business and Technical Park in Runcorn Cheshire WA7 4QX. The Conference Centre provides a spacious, purpose built facility for exhibitions and conferences and is the ideal venue for the festival. It has excellent disability access to the festival areas, plenty of free parking, tiered theatre and a restaurant seating 100 people, open throughout the weekend. Close by are a number of main chain, good value hotels and a shopping centre with supermarkets and well known stores.
Runcorn is ideally situated between Liverpool, Chester and Manchester and is to reach from motorway and rail networks. The Conference Centre is 5 minutes from junction 12 of the M56 motorway, the Runcorn Bridge and Runcorn mainline railway station. You will find plenty of taxis at the station to take you to your hotel or straight to the centre. With the completion of the Mersey Gateway project, road layouts have been altered considerably since the festival last year. Please note that your satnav may not have the updated routes so do check beforehand if you are not familiar with the area.
